Edith is Helen's niece. John CAREY is Edith's first husband. They were married in September, 1894.

 it is not a verry easy job to write laying on my back but I will try it just the same.  I hope you are feeling better.  I have worried so about you.  Now please be careful & dont lift & lug & hurt your back worse.  I am going to get you some linament & will try & have it by the time you come up & come us as soon as you can.
